Bindery · last updated June 2026

Bindery does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.

Your work stays on your device

Everything you work with — the PDFs you import, the imposition settings and your project — is processed locally on your own device. The imposition runs on your machine (natively on the desktop app, in your browser via WebAssembly on the web). Nothing is uploaded to us or to any third party. The app works fully offline.

Files

When you import a PDF or export the imposed PDF, the file is read from and written only to the location you pick in the system's file dialog. The app never reads or writes anything outside of what you explicitly choose.

Purchases and licensing

Bindery is free; unlocking PDF export is a one-time payment. How the payment is handled depends on where you got the app:

Mac App Store version: the unlock is an Apple In-App Purchase handled entirely by Apple via StoreKit — Apple processes the payment and we never see your name, email, or payment details. The app only learns whether the unlock is active on your Apple ID. See Apple's privacy policy for the transaction.

Direct download & web version: purchases and license keys are handled by our reseller (Merchant of Record), Lemon Squeezy, whose privacy policy governs your payment data. To activate a license, the app sends your license key and a device label (your computer's name, or your browser name on the web) to Lemon Squeezy over an encrypted connection, so the same key can be limited to a few devices. Nothing else is transmitted.
