Frequently asked

• How do I turn a photo into a chart? Open the app, choose "New from photo" (or drop an image), tune the size, fabric count and palette in the setup step, then continue to the editor.
• What needs paying for? The editor, saving/opening projects, and the materials calculator are free. Only exporting the chart to a printable PDF requires a one-time unlock — an In-App Purchase on the Mac App Store, or a license key on the direct/web version.
• I bought the unlock but export is still locked. On the Mac App Store version, open the unlock dialog and choose Restore a previous purchase. On the direct/web version, re-enter your license key. Still stuck? Email us.
• System requirements. Mac App Store and direct download: macOS 13 or later. The web version runs in any modern browser.
• Refunds. Mac App Store purchases are refunded through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). For direct purchases, email us and we'll work it out.

Managing or recovering a license

If you bought the direct download or web version, your license key was emailed to you by Lemon Squeezy at the time of purchase. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for a message from Lemon Squeezy.

You can also view all your purchases and license keys in the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. Log in with the email address you used at checkout to find your order and copy your license key from there.

Need to move the license to a new device, or free up an activation? In the Lemon Squeezy customer portal you can see every activated device and deactivate the ones you no longer use. Once deactivated, that slot is free and you can activate on a new machine. Still stuck? Email us.
